Diet For Acne 2 – Vitamin B2 and B3
In my last article, a closer look was taken at the importance of Vitamin A as part of the medication for acne program. Now I am going to concentrate on Vitamin B2 and B3 in this article. I’ll start with Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2
Stress can cause aggravation to existing acne and also trigger acne breakout. The reason is that stress causes an imbalance of the blood circulation, which can bring on acne breakouts. When this happens there is a lack of Vitamin B2 in ones system. Vitamin B2 helps reduce stress and in turn regulates blood circulation and lowers the possibility of acne breakout. Vitamin B2 also works to improve and maintain the mucous membranes in the digestive tract, aiding in digestion and preventing the build up of bacterial waste. This also contributes to the treatment of acne and healthy skin.
The following list of foods that have a high concentration of Vitamin b2
Whole grains,
Milk,
Eggs,
Fish,
Meat,
and Green Leafy Vegetables
Vitamin B3
Along with Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3 (aka Niacin) enhances the blood circulation and helps with the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Vitamin B3 helps with the reduction of cholesterol also provides for a more efficient exchange of toxins and nutrients into and out of your skin cells. However care must be taken to avoid over intake of Niacin as this can result inirritation and cause your skin to become flushed.
Major sources of Vitamin B3 can be found in the following:
Peanuts,
Eggs,
Avocados,
Liver,
and Lean Meat
To generalise Vitamin B2 and B3 help with stress, blood circulation, and cholesterol. All of which reduce the possibility of acne break out and in turn promote clear and healthy skin. Of course having the right diet for appropriate Vitamin is only part of the medication for acne program. Other factors contribute e.g.; proper treatment for pimples and blackheads, the right product for acne, and the right acne natural treatments. In my next article I will take a closer in-depth view of proper hygiene as part of the medication for acne program. This is an important as certain misconception can be made when it comes to what is the best way to ensure proper hygiene as part of proper acne treatment. To find out more click here.

Diet for Acne – Vitamin A
It’s not entirely about what the best product for acne is, or the best facial moisturizer, or which of the acne natural treatments work best. A suitable diet for acne prone skin is also important. So, what are the right foods? Answer- the foods that contain the right vitamins of course!
In my last article I mentioned vitamins A, B2 and B3, but let’s take a close look at what vitamins and what they provide as part of medication for acne. Let’s start with …….
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is essential for a strong and well-functioning immune system, but how does that help with the health of your skin? A strong immune system is important to promote the improvement of your complexion which reduces the build up of acne bacteria, and also helps balance hormone levels in order to regulate sebum production, so it is less likely to affect the skin. The truth is that one of the major benefits of vitamin A is that it will keep your immune system strong and powerful, so that clear, healthy and acne free skin can be maintained.
Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant that rids the system of toxins and takes away free radicals in the skin. It also helps with ageing and reduces the risk of skin cancer. It also helps with fat storage, a healthy metabolism, and helps maintain the nutrients to replenish the skin from inside out.
Vitamin A Food Sources
Liver
Milk
Egg yolk
Carrots
Yellow fruits
Green leafy vegetables.
The role of Vitamin A as part of the medication for acne is significant, however on a cautious note, use sparingly. Vitamin A exfoliates the skin quickly, so over consumption of the Vitamin can have the opposite effect on the skin.
